Fortune Kindergarten offers early childhood education for 2-6 year old children of expatriate families and eligible Chinese citizens. The Soong Ching Ling Kindergarten International Division was established in 1994. It offers a choice of curriculums including a Montessori Early Childhood Education (ECE) program. Concordia International School Shanghai, a sister school of the Hong Kong International School (HKIS), is sponsored by The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. The school’s program that ranges from prekindergarten through Grade 12 is based on the American curriculum and is set in a Christian environment. All courses are taught in English and in order to be accepted students must meet English proficiency requirements. Mandarin is offered at all levels. Shanghai American School is a private, co-educational International School sponsored by U.S. Consulate in Shanghai. The school offers an American curriculum, very similar to that of American public schools, for students from Preschool through Grade 12.
